At the Pediatric Emergency Clinic at Jorvi Hospital, we treat patients under the age of 16.

In case of emergency, such as severe shortness of breath, large bleeding wound or convulsive child, call the emergency number 112. Paramedics will assess the need for treatment and transport the patient to the correct location for treatment. 

Emergency services for specialist medical care

Emergency services for specialist medical care are open 24 hours a day. We treat children and adolescents under the age of 16. Patients come by referral from the Espoo, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi, Lohja, Vihti, Karjalohja, Karkkila, Nummi-Pusula and Siuntio areas. Pediatric patients from Vantaa are referred to the Pediatric Emergency Clinic at Jorvi Hospital and pediatric surgery patients to New Children's Hospital. 

Health center emergency services

In the health center emergency services, we treat pediatric patients under the age of 16 from Espoo, Kauniainen, Vantaa and Helsinki. The primary place of treatment of a child who has fallen ill suddenly is your local health center on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and after 4:00 p.m., the Pediatric Emergency Clinic at Jorvi Hospital. 
 
The pediatric patients of the health center emergency services in Kirkkonummi are treated the Pediatric Emergency Clinic  at night time between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. 

Fractures

Fractures of children from Espoo are treated at Jorvi Pediatric Emergency Clinic. In suspected fractures, please call your local health center first between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on evenings and weekends, assistance is available at 116 117. Minor sprains and injuries are handled by an on-call nurse at your local health center.
