Perioperative and Intensive Care research
In Perioperative and Intensive care, we conduct a significant amount of research in anesthesiology, intensive care, and pain management. Typically, our research community publishes 3–6 doctoral dissertations each year, as well as peer-reviewed research articles.
For example, our ICUs participate in the international STEPCARE study, which aims to find ways to promote the recovery of patients who have been resuscitated after a cardiac arrest, and to prevent brain damage during intensive care.
Our staff also engages extensively in research in nursing science and thesis work.
