Meilahti Tower Hospital is located in Meilahti in Helsinki. In the hospital, we treat patients in the specialty fields of cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and neurology.

Access to Meilahti Emergency Department is via the Bridge Hospital entrance (Paciuksenkatu 3).

Meilahti Emergency Department

In Finland, all organ transplants in adult patients are exclusively performed at Meilahti Tower Hospital.

The neurological unit of Meilahti Tower Hospital is also responsible for the telemedicine of stroke dissolution therapy in Finland.

Meilahti Tower Hospital has outpatient clinics in several specialty fields, as well as activities supporting examinations and treatment, such as laboratory and imaging services, a physiotherapy unit, and a Neurology Rehabilitation Evaluation Unit.

We work closely with the adjacent Meilahti Triangle Hospital and the hospitals share a common main entrance. The emblem of the Meilahti Tower Hospital is a large, turquoise letter M, which is visible in the entrance hall. The wards have been marked with an “M” and the floor number, for example, M6 indicates the Neurology Ward located on the 6th floor.

We train future health care professionals in our hospital. Students may participate in your care with your permission. Consenting or refusing student participation will not affect your care.

Meilahti Tower Hospital visiting hours

Visiting hours are listed on each ward’s web page. Not all units are open to visitors due to the specific nature of their operations. Such units do not have visiting hours.

Our hospital is smoke-free. Our hospital follows the principles for a safer space.
