Treatment on the ward requires a referral.
Our patients also come to our ward through the emergency department. All adults in Finland who are being considered for a heart transplant or a ventricular assist device are referred to us for further examinations and planning.
You may receive treatment for coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, valvular or other structural heart defect, cardiomyopathy, or cardiac insufficiency. Our expert team will provide you with safe and high-quality care, the best possible help for your ailment, and resources to cope with your illness. We also support your self-care and coping at home.
Your care will continue in your regional specialized outpatient clinic, local health center, occupational health care, Heart and Lung Center’s outpatient clinic, or some other specialist medical care outpatient clinic.
When visiting a patient, we kindly ask you to keep the visits short. Please do not bring any flowers.
