The Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals
The Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals supports the best possible care for children and adolescents throughout Finland.
The areas supported by the Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals in the five university hospitals in Finland include pediatric research, development of treatment methods and innovations, equipment purchases, patient comfort, and mental health of children and adolescents.
One of the important aspects of the work done by the Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals since the association was founded has been the comfort of patients and families in the hospital. The Elämä Lapselle and JouluMielelle concerts, visits by the associations Friend members and many other events and occasions are part of the association’s fundraising and support work.
Through its communication channels, the Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals communicate on their targets of support and current projects, the lives of patients and their families and the versatile and high-quality nursing care in HUS and other university hospitals.
