Jorvi Hospital construction projects
We are constructing a new building to replace the hospital's current inpatient ward towers. We have also renovated several major sections of the Jorvi Hospital in recent years.
With the renovations and additional construction, we are preparing for an increase in demand as we strengthen the emergency care role of Jorvi Hospital. The aim of the renovations is to ensure sufficient operating room capacity, among other matters.
New building for inpatient wards
In winter 2023, we started the construction of a new building for inpatient wards in Jorvi Hospital. The new building will be located on the site of our existing separate buildings for pediatrics at Jorvi.
The new inpatient ward building will replace ward towers S, K, and N, which are in poor condition and no longer suitable for current requirements in specialized healthcare.
The new building will house Jorvi Hospital’s inpatient wards and outpatient clinics for children and adolescents, as well as the medical imaging unit. Our childbirth services along with the maternity wards, which are currently operating in temporary facilities at Espoo Hospital, will also transfer to the new building in their entirety.
