Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
The plant causes local irritation. The plant fluid, or sap, can cause local irritation symptoms, such as stinging and burning at the exposure site. Does not absorb into the body. Rinse the exposed area with water.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow (Brunfelsia pauciflora)
The plant is toxic, but ingesting a small amount rarely causes symptoms.
Yew (Taxus)
Highly toxic. The needles, bark and berry seeds of the common yew (crushed or chewed) are toxic. The pulp of the berry is non-toxic. The initial symptoms of poisoning are nausea and vomiting, followed by a decrease in blood pressure, and various cardiac conduction disorders and arrhythmia. If the needles, bark or crushed/chewed berry seeds have been ingested, always contact the Poison Information Center.
Yucca (Yucca)
The plant is non-toxic.
