Psychiatric care for young children

We examine and treat children with prolonged emotional or behavioral symptoms or when there is serious concern about their interactive skills.  

We examine the symptom profile, developmental stage, strengths and issues of the child.  

You will be invited to appointments together, as a family. In order to gain a comprehensive picture, we evaluate how the child interacts with people close to them. At the evaluation stage, we also conduct a daycare visit or home visit with the parents’ permission if necessary and also work with the child’s daycare unit.

We support the relationship between parents and child and help the parents to think in positive ways conducive to the child’s development. We plan treatment on a case-by-case basis, working with people close to the child.
