Maternity Outpatient Clinic, Porvoo Hospital

At the Maternity Outpatient Clinic in Porvoo Hospital, we treat pregnant women who require monitoring in specialist medical care. We have digital care pathways in place to implement part of our follow-up work.

For treatment, you need a referral from a maternity health clinic (neuvola) or a private physician. Based on the referral, we assess the need and urgency of treatment. You will be informed of the appointment by letter, telephone, or via the Maisa Portal.

At the Maternity Outpatient Clinic, we also conduct prenatal screenings. The screening includes ultrasound scans and a blood sample. Prenatal screening is voluntary and free of charge for families. We will make an appointment for screening with a referral from a maternity health clinic (neuvola) nurse. You can also schedule an appointment for prenatal screening via the Maisa Portal.

At the Breastfeeding Outpatient Clinic, we provide support and assistance for breastfeeding until the baby is one month old. You can book an appointment through our callback service. For proactive breastfeeding support during pregnancy, a referral from a maternity health clinic (neuvola) nurse is needed.
