The joint replacement hospital Orton will offer university hospital-level care focusing on hip and knee replacement surgeries. The hospital is scheduled to begin operations on April 1, 2026.
The plan is to gradually transfer HUS’s joint replacement surgeries to the new joint replacement hospital.
HUS will direct patients to the joint replacement hospital Orton when its operations start. For patients, the cost of care will be the same as HUS’s standard patient fees.
Operating at Peijas Hospital, the HUS Joint Replacement Center is the second largest in the Nordic countries. The unit performs approximately 3,000 joint replacement surgeries every year; most of them hip and knee surgeries.
Our treatment results are excellent. According to regular patient satisfaction surveys, our patients consider our activities and the treatment they receive to be excellent. We actively develop our activities and patient care.
The Joint Replacement Center performs most of the reoperations in the entire Uusimaa region.
