Our outpatient clinic for people with intellectual disability (ID) monitors the psychiatric wellbeing, behavioral challenges, growth and development, and social interactions of ID and ASD patients, prepares plans for intensive medical rehabilitation, and assesses patients’ need for communicative assistance, medical aids, and other forms of support.
We also diagnose ID and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in adolescents and adults (over 18 years of age).
Diagnostics for ID and ASD in children and adolescents is takes place at HUS’s New Children’s Hospital and the Neuropsychiatry Outpatient Clinic.
