In the X-ray unit of the New Children's Hospital, we conduct examinations for children.

We perform plain X-ray examinations without appointment and other examinations by appointment. You will also find a laboratory and emergency clinic at the New Children's Hospital.
The unit is located on the 1st floor of the hospital. Register at the self-registration kiosk in the main lobby or in the parking garage and separately also in the X-ray unit lobby, so that we know you have arrived. On weekdays after 4:00 p.m. and on weekends, please ring the doorbell close to the door of the X-ray unit.
We conduct examinations for children aged 0–15 years who are customers of the HUS area health centers and hospitals.
We perform plain X-ray examinations, i.e. bone and chest imaging without an appointment. You can come in for imaging examinations when it best suits you.
Other examinations are conducted by appointment. You will be informed of the appointment by letter.
Please note that emergency patients requiring urgent care will be taken to imaging first, so other patients may need to wait. Waiting times can be quite long between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. We recommend coming at other times, if possible.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.

Information for patients arriving for laboratory and medical imaging examinations
