Parking in the hospital area

We recommend that you use public transport if possible when coming to visit us. See the Helsinki Regional Transport journey planner (Reittiopas) for details.

Drop-off traffic can stop in front of our main entrances. More parking space is available in the Meilahti hospital area.

There are several parking lots and three parking garages in the Meilahti hospital area. The garage P2 is closest to the Park Hospital.

Parking in the Meilahti Hospital area is subject to a fee.

New Children's Hospital's parking garage

There are 100 parking spaces in the parking garage of New Children’s Hospital. A fee is charged for parking in our parking garage. The parking fee is EUR 2 per 20-minute period or part thereof. Charging stations for electric cars are available in the parking area for our customers.

We offer free parking for patients’ family members in the parking garage of New Children’s Hospital. Please note that New Children's Hospital's parking garage may be full especially during morning and day-time.

Instructions for free parking at the parking garage of New Children’s Hospital:

• Go to the info desk on the 1st floor and exchange the ticket you received in the parking garage for an exit ticket, either by presenting a receipt from the self-registration kiosk or a certificate issued by the ward or treatment unit.
• You can use the exit ticket only in the parking garage of New Children’s Hospital.
• Family members of patients with extended hospital stays are eligible for a one-week parking ticket. For more information, please contact the treatment unit.
• Please note that we cannot refund a ticket that has already been paid for.

Bicycle parking

There are parking places for about 1,800 bicycles in the Meilahti Hospital campus. Bicycle racks are located in the yards of all of our hospitals. Majority of the racks allow securing the bike from the frame. During the city bike season, the HSL bike stations are located in the campus’s immediate vicinity.

Our info desk is immediately adjacent to the main entrance. There is a low section of the info desk for wheelchair users. There are no chairs at the info desk. 

Please use the self-registration kiosks to register for your appointment when you arrive to the hospital. Self-registration kiosks are located near the entrances. The child can choose an avatar for themselves when you register, and the kiosk will provide you with instructions on how to find the place of treatment and how to register there. 

Please use the hospital's entrance A to enter the Pediatric Emergency Department. Registration takes place in the Emergency Department’s lobby

Visiting New Children's Hospital

There are barrier-free restrooms on every floor.

Please do not bring flowers to our ward.

Wheelchairs can be borrowed at the emergency clinic entrance.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome, but otherwise pets are not allowed on the premises.
