On Jorvi Hospital’s Maternity Ward, we treat patients who have given birth and their newborns. We provide individual guidance on caring for the baby, breastfeeding, and on recovering from childbirth.

On the maternity ward, you can recover from childbirth and take some time to get to know your new family member. We will plan your treatment individually. We provide postnatal guidance in caring for a baby and breastfeeding, encouraging self-sufficiency. We are committed to the Baby-Friendly Initiative of WHO and UNICEF.

Our skilled, multi-professional staff is here for you. We closely monitor the infant’s health and the mother’s recovery. We also have the Baby Journey digital path in use. It provides answers to frequently asked questions.

Most of the rooms in Jorvi Hospital are family rooms. In our family rooms, you can bring your spouse or other support person to stay with you for the duration of your hospital stay. We aim to provide a family room whenever possible. If you stay in a family room, your birthing partner will also need to pay daily hospital fees. Both of your fees will be on the same invoice.

Postnatal Appointments

At Postnatal Appointments, we provide care and guidance to families of newborns after discharge from the hospital. If your baby needs a follow-up visit within the first two weeks, we will schedule an appointment either at Postnatal Appointments or with a midwife who makes house calls.
