Opening hours during summer
The laboratory is closed from June 19 to June 21, 2026. On Thursday, June 18th, the laboratory will be open as usual.
In the Hanko laboratory we serve customers with booked appointments.
- You can come for INR sampling related to use of blood-thinning medication without an appointment on Mondays and Tuesdays between 12.00 and 12.30.
- For urgent sampling and urine samples, you do not need to book an appointment.
- We accept referrals from private physicians.
- Our laboratory is located at the Hanko Health Center.
- You do not need to register when you arrive at the laboratory.
- Our laboratory has a return machine, where you can return most common samples taken at home from Monday to Wednesday until 2:30 p.m. and from Thursday to Friday until 12:30 p.m.
- You may pick up and return sample containers without booking an appointment.

You can book a laboratory appointment online. When booking, you will receive instructions on cancelling or rescheduling your booked appointment. You always need a referral for laboratory tests.
How do I prepare for examinations and where do I get the results?
Examinations always require a referral. More information on the required preparations, arriving for examinations, and receiving the test results can be found here.
