At the Forensic Psychology Center for Children and Adolescents, we conduct investigations related to criminal allegations involving children and adolescents at the request of the police or the prosecutor. You do not become a client of the unit through a referral from a physician or social services, for example.
We offer training and consulting services to other professionals. The questions may relate, for example, to violence against children and adolescents, the assessment of suspected perpetrators of violence, and psychosocial support for families.
Our unit serves eight wellbeing services counties (Helsinki, Western Uusimaa, Vantaa-Kerava, East Uusimaa, Central Uusimaa, South Karelia, Kymenlaakso, and Päijät-Häme) as well as five police departments (Helsinki, Western Uusimaa, Eastern Uusimaa, Southeastern Finland, and Häme).
