We are hiring nurses at Musculoskeletal and Plastic Surgery

As a registered nurse or practical nurse, you to participate in the comprehensive care of patients. You will work in close collaboration with many other professionals such as orthopedics and physiotherapists. In our work, we treat both elective and emergency patients. Patients’ treatment times vary from days to several weeks. 

We will provide you with individual orientation to the work and, if necessary, support for improving your Finnish language skills. Working in musculoskeletal and plastic surgery is possible already during your studies.  

Multiple career options

Musculoskeletal and plastic surgery offers a variety of career options. Interested in managerial responsibilities? We have several nurse manager and deputy nurse managers positions available. Or perhaps your interests lie in onboarding and training? Then you could opt for working as a nursing instructor or as an inductor. As a specialist nurse, you can work in a multidisciplinary learning unit, for example. Or do you want to work in coordinating patient traffic? We also have a patient traffic coordinator who manages patient traffic between hospitals in cooperation with the emergency department. 

We can provide opportunities for in-depth specialization in various specialties, as we have national responsibilities, such as the treatment of cleft lip and palate cases, gender-affirming surgery, and the treatment of patients with bone tumors.  

You can work in multiple units within Musculoskeletal and Plastic Surgery. We treat patients in Helsinki at Park Hospital and Meilahti Bridge Hospital. In addition to these, you can work in Espoo at Jorvi Hospital, in Vantaa at Peijas Hospital or in the hospitals in Hyvinkää, Porvoo, and Lohja.
