This is how our strategic goals and sustainability work progressed in 2025
Personnel
In 2025, we had a total of 26,500 employees. Employee experience remained at a good level, staff availability improved, and exit turnover decreased. This reflected the fact that we are on the right track toward being the most attractive workplace in Finland.
Customer
In 2025, we treated 711,000 patients. Our Net Promoter Score (NPS), which measures customer experience, continued to rise and reached 83. Thus, we were a step closer to our goal of providing the best customer experience in Finland.
Cooperation with wellbeing services counties
We work in close cooperation with the Uusimaa wellbeing services counties, the City of Helsinki, and the Southern Finland collaborative area. This will result in more equitable and customer-oriented services for our shared customers.
Sustainable economy
We succeeded in balancing our finances during 2025 and covering the deficit as required by law and within the schedule. In order to continue providing high-quality, cost-effective, and equitable services, our finances must be on a sustainable footing.
Continuous improvement and reform
In 2025, we built an ISO 9001 quality management system covering the entire HUS. University education, research, and teaching are part of our care, and by responsibly increasing our degree of digitalization, we can keep on improving and reforming our operations.
Sustainability
We started developing our sustainability program in 2025. The program will be completed in 2026. Sustainability penetrates all our strategic priorities and is a prerequisite for achieving our strategic goals.
