Neonatal Ward L2A and L2B, Jorvi Hospital

We treat mild neonatal problems such as mild breathing difficulties, low blood glucose, infections, or jaundice. We treat small premature babies or other newborns who have been transferred to us for further treatment from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Women's Hospital. The stay on our ward varies from a few hours to months. 

You can participate in your child's care from the very beginning. We guide and encourage you in breastfeeding and in caring for your baby. The mother can breastfeed the baby as soon as the baby's condition permits it. If the ward's bed occupancy situation allows it, a parent may spend the night with the baby. 

Parents and siblings are welcome to visit the ward at times suitable for them. Visits by other people must be agreed upon in advance with the ward personnel.

Newborns come to our care from Jorvi Hospital's maternity and labor ward, the Women's Hospital, and the New Children's Hospital.
