The Comprehensive Cancer Center is identified with the letter C, which is shown in the signs and on the appointment letters.

Whenever possible, we recommend that you use public transport when coming to visit us.

There are several parking lots and three parking garages on the Meilahti campus. Drop-off and pick-up traffic is allowed to stop in front of our entrance.

There are three barrier-free parking spaces immediately adjacent to our main entrance. There is a high curb along the access route from the parking spaces to the entrance, which means that wheelchair users need to proceed along the driveway for some distance to the curb ramp at the entrance.

Parking in the Meilahti hospital area is subject to a fee.

Bicycle parking

There are parking places for about 1,800 bicycles in the Meilahti hospital area. Bicycle racks are located in the yards of all of our hospitals. Most of the racks allow securing the bicycle from the frame, and some are covered.

During the city bike season, there are also HSL bike stations located in the hospital area’s immediate vicinity.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center has two entrances. The main entrance to the Comprehensive Cancer Center is located at Haartmaninkatu 4 which provides access to all units. Through Paciuksenkatu 3, you can access the Radiation Therapy Ward, Molecular Radiotherapy Unit, Palliative Care Center, and Psychosocial Support Unit.

The oncology wards are located at Meilahti Bridge Hospital and the hematology wards at Meilahti Triangle Hospital.

All of our entrances are step-free and feature automatic sliding doors. There are accessible restrooms on every floor.

Info and registration

Our info desks are located immediately adjacent to the entrances.

There are self-registration kiosks in our entrance lobbies. The kiosks can be used from a seated position. See the instructions:

We use a queue number system for admitting patients at the registration desk. There is an induction loop for hearing aids available in our lobby area. 

The main entrance has a higher (105 cm) and a lower (75 cm) service desk. Registration desks are low in height (75 cm).  The desks at the Paciuksenkatu entrance are high (115 cm).

Visiting the Comprehensive Cancer Center

Visiting hours and more detailed information on unit locations within the hospital can be checked on the page of each ward and unit.

Please do not bring flowers on our wards.

The hospital welcomes service and support dogs. However, bringing pets into our facilities is not allowed.

There are lockable cabinets in the lobby of the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
