Apply to HUS!
We offer positions as trainees and interns
- for students in education leading to a degree
- for graduated professionals who are completing the education required in the EU to become a licensed professional
- students coming through international exchange
The trainee must have
- sufficient skills in Finnish and Swedish (or another agreed language for providing guidance)
- a health status and required vaccinations in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act (see more detailed instructions in the student checklist)
- adequate skills before the start of the training

If you study at the University of Helsinki, the practical training will be organized through the university and you do not need to apply for a traineeship separately.

Exchange students and ERASMUS exchange
As a student at a foreign university or college, you will be able to complete international exchange study training at HUS as a visiting student.

You will be enrolled as a student in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Helsinki with a Visiting Student status, as an Erasmus Traineeship student, or to collaborate on research. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the University of Helsinki website or send email to studentexchange@helsinki.fi.
Secondary education institution students
Practical nursing students and other secondary education institution students apply for traineeships at HUS by contacting the instructors in their school. Teachers in secondary education institutions must provide requests for placements for traineeships in the fall semester by the end of March and requests for the spring semester by the end of October.
Apprenticeship training
Are you interested in different apprenticeship opportunities at HUS? Apprenticeships must be agreed with managers.

For students studying for their qualifications in cleaning and property services as well as business, we offer a diverse opportunity for on-the-job learning in:
