Visiting instructions

Our info desk is immediately adjacent to the main entrance.

We recommend that you use public transport if possible when coming to visit us.

All our entrances have automatic sliding doors with no stairs. There are accessible restrooms on every floor.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome, but otherwise pets are not allowed on the premises. 

We will be posting more details about accessibility at the hospital as the renovation progresses.

A fee is charged for outdoor parking in the Meilahti hospital area. The parking fee is EUR 2 per hour or part thereof in normal zones and EUR 4 per hour or part thereof in the Haartman Hospital drop-off zone (max. 2 hours).

Two means of payment are available for outdoor parking:

• Pay at a ticket machine before parking. Please note that most of the ticket machines only accept coins.
• Pay by mobile device. You may use the EasyPark or ParkMan apps. For further information, please contact the service providers.

A fee is charged for parking in the underground parking garages on a 24/7 basis. The parking fee is EUR 1 per 25-minute period or part thereof. Our parking garages are open to customers Monday to Sunday 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.

• P1 (Haartmaninkatu 4) is reserved for customer use and for contract customers. Access to other buildings in the hospital area is via the outdoor area. The pedestrian exit is via the elevators in Biomedicum 1 (Haartmaninkatu 8). There is a ticket machine in the elevator lobby at the entrance level in Biomedicum.
• P2 (Stenbäckinkatu 9) is reserved for personnel and customer use. There is a tunnel connecting this parking garage to other buildings in the hospital area. Ticket machines can be found along the pedestrian routes exiting the parking garage.
• P3 (Zaidankatu 1) is reserved for personnel and customer use. There is a tunnel connecting this parking garage to other buildings in the hospital area. Ticket machines can be found along the pedestrian routes exiting the parking garage.

NOTE! We recommend using parking garage P1, because the access route from parking garage P3 has changed. The old route in front of the Department of Oncology is closed until the Bridge Hospital has been completed. The pedestrian entrance to the parking garage in front of the Department of Oncology is closed.
