On the Pulmonary Diseases and Cardiology ward, we mainly treat patients within the HUS area, but our ward also carries the national treatment responsibility for lung transplant patients.
On our ward, we treat various lung diseases, such as patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer.
Our ward works closely with the other Heart and Lung Center units, in terms of treatment of diseases of the pleura and treatment of cardiological patients. As far as cardiology is concerned, we mainly treat patients who are arriving for examinations. The average treatment time on the ward is approximately 5 days.
Please note that bringing flowers to the ward is not allowed.
