In the Meilahti Tower Hospital X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without appointment and other examinations by appointment.
You can come in for plain X-ray examinations (bone, chest) when it best suits you. Come in through the main entrance of Meilahti Hospital and follow the black line. Register at the X-ray unit.
Other examinations require an appointment. You will be given an appointment for the examination and you will be informed of the appointment by letter.
If your examinations are conducted in the evening, you will find marked signs at the registration desk to help you in finding the right waiting room.
Please note that emergency patients requiring urgent care will be taken to imaging first, so other patients may need to wait.
We carry out examinations for HUS hospital customers who have reached the age of 16.
MRI examination: fill in the patient history form
If you are coming for an MRI examination, please remember to fill in the patient history form. Please refer to your appointment letter for more information.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.

How do I prepare for examinations and where do I get the results?
Examinations always require a referral. See here for more information on preparing for examinations, on receiving the results, and instructions on ordering copies of your images.
