Ohkola Hospital’s Ward P40 is a psychiatric ward for providing stabilizing treatment.

Our treatment is based on active rehabilitation, and patient care is planned individually. For the majority of our patients, their illness is in a fairly acute phase. Representatives of several professional groups work on our ward, and together with the patient we assess and plan treatment. In the planning of treatment, we take treatment needs and the patient’s resources into account. During treatment, we support the patient's compliance with treatment and inclusion in the rehabilitation, and support the patient so that progress can be made in the treatment.

Psychiatric assessments of criminal offenders and violence risk assessments can also be conducted on the ward.
