Our strategy for 2020–2024 focuses heavily on corporate responsibility and sustainable development in all our activities.

For us, financial responsibility means above all the responsible, ethical, and transparent use of taxpayer funds.

Social responsibility is manifested for example in the equality of access to treatment, the promotion of the health of different socio-economic groups, and the employment of partially incapacitated people.

Environmental responsibility means taking environmental values into account in all our activities. We invest in finding environmentally sustainable solutions and, at the same time, in developing a more sustainable society.

In spring 2020, we took a major step towards this goal by obtaining guarantees that the electrical power that we use is generated with renewable, carbon-free sources.

For 2020, HUS Logistics will be reporting on corporate responsibility according to the GRI standard. All our other reporting is not yet consistent with the GRI standard and focuses mainly on environmental matters.

One of our principal responsibility goals was to create a corporate responsibility program for HUS. The content and goals of the program were in preparation during 2020, and the program was submitted to the HUS Executive Board for approval in February 2021. The initial goals in the corporate responsibility program are moderate. In addition to environmental responsibility, they involve improving the customer experience and supervisors’ work and on improving procurement and contracting competence.
