Malmi Hospital X-ray unit

During this maintenance period, only basic radiological examinations will be performed for hospital patients at Malmi Hospital's x-ray unit. Additionally, emergency patients with a referral for basic skeletal radiological examination due to suspected trauma may be imaged.
Patients can undergo basic X-ray examinations of the skeleton and lungs at other HUS X-ray units within the free movement area.
Exceptions during spring holidays
The unit is closed on Wednesday, May 1st, as well as on Ascension Day, May 9th.
In the Malmi Hospital X-ray unit, we carry out plain X-ray examinations without an appointment. Other imaging examinations are carried out by appointment.
We perform plain X-ray examinations (bone, chest) without appointment. Come in through the main entrance, from the side of the street, Malmin sairaalakatu.
Ultrasound examinations and computed tomography scans are carried out by appointment. You can make an appointment for ultrasound examinations by calling our customer service. For the computed tomography scan and MRI scan you will be given an appointment and you will be informed of the appointment by letter.
We have a patient lift, e.g., to transfer patients from a wheelchair to an examination table. Please call us in advance if you need to use a patient lift. More information about patient lifts.
We conduct examinations for customers who have reached the age of 16.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.
