We have focused the treatment of morbidly obese patients in the Obesity Outpatient Clinic. Our outpatient clinic has a weight management group, for which we select participants based on referrals. The weight management group is led by a registered nurse trained in weight management. The group therapy lasts approximately five months and includes a 10-week very low energy diet. In some group sessions, a clinical dietitian, physiotherapist, and a physician will join the team. Groups are usually organized twice a year.
