Endocrinology Outpatient Clinic and Obesity Outpatient Clinic, Lohja Hospital

At the Endocrinology Outpatient Clinic at Lohja Hospital, we examine and treat diseases of the hormone-producing organs. The most common groups of such diseases are thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, calcium metabolism diseases, and endocrine gland tumors.

We have focused the treatment of morbidly obese patients in the Obesity Outpatient Clinic. Our outpatient clinic has a weight management group, for which we select participants based on referrals. The weight management group is led by a registered nurse trained in weight management. The group therapy lasts approximately five months and includes a 10-week very low energy diet. In some group sessions, a clinical dietitian, physiotherapist, and a physician will join the team. Groups are usually organized twice a year.
