Our nutritional experts take the nutritional quality of patient meals carefully into consideration already at the planning stage. 

Our catering workers prepare patient meals professionally in accordance with the nutritional recommendations of each age group, taking into account numerous special diets.

Lunch restaurants and cafeterias

We serve nutritious and healthy food in our restaurants. 

In addition to the staff of the hospitals, patients, their family members and other visitors are also welcome to enjoy a meal in our restaurants. Lunch price for visitors in our restaurants is EUR 12.90.

In addition to lunch options, most of our restaurants have the possibility of assembling a fresh salad yourself or choosing a meal from the barbecue station. In addition, some of our restaurants offer tasty breakfast with many options.

From our cafeterias, you can easily choose small savory and sweet little treats and other delicious products prepared on site to take with you.

Our service-oriented hospital cleaners are skilled professionals who spend approximately half of their working time on cleaning. In addition to cleaning, we are responsible for performing patient catering services, bed maintenance, and a variety of other maintenance services.

Our special area of expertise is cleaning hospital environments, in which our aseptic skills are invaluable. Our skilled and trained personnel is responsible for keeping the environment safe and comfortable for the hospital personnel and the customers.

In planning our operations, we use service needs assessment for enabling us to determine just the right amount of resources in the right places. We regularly monitor the quality of sanitation using different methods.

Environmental issues are important to us and we adhere to ecological principles in our sanitation methods. We use eco-labelled all-purpose cleaning agents.
 

• The lobby service is handled by our skilled personnel, and their tasks include, for example, providing information to visitors in the lobby, management of keys and lecture rooms, internal patient transfers, and processing of mail.
• In the switchboard 09 4711, we are responsible for call forwarding operations in the 18 HUS hospitals around the clock. 
• Our task in the patient records service is to ensure that patient documents are available for medical care and research studies. We are also in charge of the information and customer service.
• In the registries, we adhere to data security guidelines in the registration and distribution of documents, management of administrative archives, and the information and advisory services for these tasks.
