HUS Patient hotel is located in the Scandic Meilahti Hotel in the address Tukholmankatu 2.
The patient hotel service is intended especially for patients being treated in Meilahti and the nearby hospitals. The patient’s next of kin may spend the night in the hotel at their own expense. Additionally, the hotel has one room on offer for free, sponsored via donation, for families with children. The unit responsible for your treatment makes the hotel reservation.
The patient hotel services are provided to patients before, after or during planned treatment or procedure or in connection with serial treatments, when the patient is not required to spend the night at a ward but when the treatment warrants accommodation near the hospital.
All guests staying in the patient hotel must be medically fit for discharge as the patient hotel does not provide medical care services. Patients staying in the patient hotel should be able to cope independently or with the support of an escort / family member / person close to them.
The hotel rooms have a toilet and a shower, a small fridge, TV, telephone, air condition and an internet connection. The sauna department, gym, children’s playroom and the self-service laundry are available for the guests. The hotel area is smoke-free.
If you arrive to the hotel by car, you may park your car to a parking lot at the immediate vicinity of the hotel for an extra charge. Parking instructions are available at the hotel reception. Please note that there is a limited amount of parking space available.
