What to bring with you to the hospital

• Your Kela card
• Insurance information for accidents and occupational disease
• An updated list of any medications and pharmaceuticals you are taking
• Your medications (asthma inhalers, eye drops, insulin pens, etc.)
• Information about allergies and dietary restrictions
• Contact information for next of kin
• Personal assistive equipment
• Toiletries and sanitary products
• Slippers

If you wish, you can bring along someone to accompany you. The hospital personnel will advise you when you can be accompanied and when privacy is required.

On most wards, there is limited room for personal belongings. It is recommended that you do not bring large amounts of cash or valuables to the hospital.
