Influenza vaccination is an important part of patient safety at HUS. More than 95% of our personnel have taken flu shots. Because influenza patients are treated at our hospitals during the epidemic season from December to April, it is possible for a patient to contract influenza from another patient. This is why HUS recommends that patients admitted to hospital and their family members take flu shots.
You can get a flu shot at your local health center or at the patient and family vaccination points at HUS hospitals in November and December, starting from 25th of November.
