OLKA® refers to coordinated organization and volunteering activity at hospitals. Our purpose is to offer patients and their loved ones unhurried encounters and support in coming to terms with their disease. OLKA is a joint operation of HUS and HyTe [Community of NGOs].
OLKA service point at Peijas Hospital
Come and see us at the OLKA service point at Peijas Hospital!
The OLKA service point organizes theme days where patient associations and hospital units talk about what they do and explain the forms of support that they can offer.
These theme days are open to everyone free of charge.
OLKA volunteer activity at Peijas Hospital
You will recognize OLKA volunteers by their light green vests. These volunteers are trained for their duties, and they are bound by a confidentiality obligation. The purpose of the volunteers is not to replace nursing staff. The volunteers are there for you!
At Peijas Hospital, volunteers provide peer support on Ward K1.
You may also inquire about peer support or try out the peer-to-peer search engine of the Peer Hub.
