Internal Medicine Ward S2 and Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease Ward S3, Peijas Hospital

On the Internal Medicine Ward S2 and Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease Ward S3 at Peijas Hospital, we offer specialized healthcare mainly for the adult population of Vantaa and Kerava.

Contact information

Some of our patients suffer from multiple diseases and their condition has deteriorated due to an acute inflammatory disease, such as pneumonia, nephritis, or sepsis. On Ward S2, we also treat people with diabetes, functional disturbances of the liver and digestive system.

On Ward S3, we treat patients with cardiac insufficiency, coronary artery disease and cardiac arrhythmias for example.

On Ward S3, we treat adult patients with pulmonary diseases in need of specialized healthcare. Patients mainly arrive on our ward from emergency departments. Our ward treats patients with pneumonia, COPD, asthma, lung cancer, and tuberculosis, for example.

By appointment, we conduct certain procedures, such as liver biopsies and intestinal endoscopies (Ward S2) or cardiac pacemaker implantations, and cardiac contrast studies (Ward S3).

The average stay on our wards is approximately four days.
