Pediatric General Hospital Psychiatric Unit, New Children’s Hospital
Keywords:Children under the age of 13 who are being examined and treated at New Children’s Hospital and their families have an opportunity to receive help for the psychological stress and symptoms caused by the somatic illness.
The unit provides child psychiatric crisis support. We assess the need for psychiatric support and offer therapeutic support.
If necessary, the child and family will be referred to other specialist medical services or services offered by their municipality.
