Gynecological Outpatient Clinic, Hyvinkää Hospital

The Gynecological Outpatient Clinic is located on the 2nd floor of the hospital, in connection with the delivery rooms, the Maternity Ward and the Maternity Outpatient Clinic. Patients come to our outpatient clinic on a physician’s referral. Before arrival for your appointment, you will receive a patient history form and a symptom inquiry form to be filled out.

In the Gynecological Outpatient Clinic, we treat patients who have arrived on the basis of a referral with a gynecological disease or problem. A vaginal ultrasound examination is a common examination conducted at the clinic. We also have physicians who perform demanding ultrasound diagnostics.

The treatment of cancer patients has been concentrated in Women's Hospital; in Hyvinkää we examine suspected cases of cancer. In addition, we treat patients in the palliative phase in cooperation with the palliative care team of the Joint Municipal Authority of Central Uusimaa Health and Social Services (Keusote).

The care is provided by a physician and a nurse working together. Our physicians include both specialists in gynecology and doctors specializing in gynecology and obstetrics who always have the opportunity to consult a more experienced specialist if necessary. In our appointments, we use a lot of patient history forms and symptom inquiry forms, which allows us more time to focus on reflection and individual counseling on treatment options. Our aim is to try and handle matters flexibly during a single outpatient visit.
