In Hyvinkää Hospital Intermediate Care, we treat adult patients who have developed severe, but transient failures in their vital processes as a consequence of diseases, accidents or surgical procedures. The CCU treats patients with acute cardiac illnesses, such as myocardial infarction, cardiac insufficiency, arrhythmia, and pulmonary edema.

Intermediate Care

Intermediate care patients require constant monitoring and care, as well as treatment methods and equipment developed for intensive care. The patient can be transferred to intermediate care from the Emergency Clinic, the surgical unit, an inpatient ward at Hyvinkää Hospital or another hospital, and directly from outside the hospital by prehospital emergency care.

Cardiac monitoring

The condition of patients under cardiac monitoring requires monitoring of important vital functions, ventilation and/or circulation support, and constant observation.  Patients come to the ward either from the hospital’s emergency services, inpatient wards, or from other hospitals.

The Hyvinkää Hospital Coronary Care Unit CCU is located in the immediate vicinity of the Emergency Clinic on floor P of the hospital.
