OLKA volunteer activities at Espoo Hospital
You will recognize OLKA volunteers by their light green vests. These volunteers are trained for their duties, and they are bound by a confidentiality obligation. The purpose of the volunteers is not to replace nursing staff. The volunteers are there for you!
At Espoo Hospital, volunteers provide peer support in hospice care (Villa Glims) and casual conversation for patients (on wards 1 and 4 and at the emergency clinic).
You may also inquire about peer support or try out the peer-to-peer search engine of the Peer Hub.
