For laboratory tests, you can visit our laboratories in Uusimaa, Kymenlaakso or South Karelia. You must have a referral for laboratory tests.

 Laboratory tests can be used to confirm or exclude particular disorders, as part of treatment, in treatment monitoring and in various screenings. Samples tested by laboratories include blood, urine and feces.

## Book an appointment to the laboratory

Our laboratories serve customers by appointment and by waiting number. We recommend booking an appointment. You can book an appointment online or by calling our customer service.

Some of our laboratories serve customers by appointment only. For urgent sampling, you do not need to book an appointment. You may also pick up and return sample containers without booking an appointment.

## Cancel or reschedule your laboratory appointment

You can cancel or reschedule your laboratory appointment. When booking, you will receive instructions on cancelling or rescheduling your booked appointment.

## Return sample containers

You can return the most common samples taken at home to any of our laboratories during their opening hours. Depending on the laboratory, samples are returned either to a return machine or to the staff.

You may pick up and return sample containers in most cases without booking an appointment.

## Find the nearest laboratory

You may visit any laboratory convenient for you in Uusimaa, Kymenlaakso or South Karelia.

## Fasting and medication

Most laboratory tests do not require fasting. Please find out in advance from the unit sending you for laboratory tests, whether the tests assigned to you require fasting and whether you can take the medicines normally before the sampling

## Laboratory results from the treating unit

Laboratory results will be given to you by the unit treating you, such as your local health center.
