The logistics services of HUS Logistics are comprehensively responsible for the logistics process of medical and general supplies from the goods supplier all the way to the time and place of use, in an ideal situation. The purpose of all our logistics services is to free up working hours of the treatment staff, so that they can concentrate on their core competence, i.e. actual care and patient work. We offer both storage and transport services and in-hospital logistics services. ## Our services ### Storage and transport services --- **Our logistics center** is located in Vantaankoski, accessible by good transport connections. It houses our reception and dispatch center operations and also our central warehouse, where we stock approximately 5,500 of the most ordered product items. Other products arrive from suppliers to our logistics center based on customer orders and are combined with products ordered by the customers from our warehouse. The shipments are delivered to the customer in connection with their usual delivery date. A small number of products are delivered directly from the goods supplier to the customer. Our entire product range covers approximately 70,000 items. At the logistics center, we coordinate **distribution transports** from the warehouse to the customers.  ### Goods transport within the hospital --- We are responsible for transporting various materials within the HUS hospitals and the units of our other customers. **Internal goods transports within hospitals** include, for example, the transport of meals, laundry and waste, as well as the transport of disposable medical supplies. In addition, we transport other materials, such as instruments, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, as agreed.  ### Refill service --- One of the services we provide to our customers is **the refill service**, where our logistics workers order and shelve disposable medical supplies in a refill service warehouse located on the customer's premises. In addition, our employees are responsible for the expiration date management of the products and the appropriateness of the stored product range together with the customer.  ### Healthcare logistics service --- We also offer a separate **healthcare logistics service** where healthcare logisticians are responsible for ensuring that the disposable basic medical supplies and patient-specific medical supplies required for the procedures are in the right place and at the right time.
