If a more complicated procedure is required, regional hospitals will refer the patient to Women's Hospital.  We conduct the majority of urogynecological procedures as outpatient surgical procedures under local anesthesia. At nurse’s appointments at Women's Hospital, we also treat prolapse patients conservatively. Conservative treatment does not include any (surgical) procedures.
