The matters dealt with by the Personnel Committee are of general nature, creating group-wide employer policy and guidelines, which often additionally require a Joint Authority Executive decision to enter into force. The matters can also include drawing up statements on matters under the Joint Authority Executive’s consideration that concern the entire organization. It meets with a varying, statutory composition and discusses all fields of medical research. Once the decision of the Research Committee of the HUS Specific Catchment Area (Helsinki University Hospital Specific Catchment Area) on the amount of state research funding has been received, the Research Committee will submit a proposal to the CEO on the final distribution of the state research grant to the research groups.
