Our unit has a modern operating room designed for cardiac examinations and procedures. The most common procedures performed by us include: - coronary artery angiography - coronary balloon angioplasty - pacemaker implantation If required, an echocardiography can be performed in the unit's observation room on patients arriving for procedures. Our patients arrive for examinations or treatment procedures from home or from the emergency departments or wards at HUS hospitals. The Heart and Lung Center organizing the care has achieved the Magnet recognition for nursing excellence, which means that the quality of nursing and patient and staff satisfaction have been proven to be at an excellent level both nationally and internationally. We perform both elective and emergency procedures. The Hyvinkää Cardiac Unit is open during office hours.
