## Annual report 2023 In 2023, HUS specialist medical care and emergency departments treated a total of nearly 700,000 patients. Patients were satisfied with the service provided; our NPS score increased to an impressive 79. Our personnel grew on the previous year, and promoting a good employee experience was one of our principal goals for the year under review. Our funding model changed in 2023 with the implementation of the national health and social services reform, and we declared a deficit of more than EUR 100 million. We completed the roadmap for teaching at HUS and advanced both our responsibility efforts and our strategic objectives.
