We treat patients from the Hyvinkää, Mäntsälä, Järvenpää, Nurmijärvi, Tuusula and Kerava areas, and back surgery in the Uusimaa region has been centralized in our hospital. Treatment at the outpatient clinic and non-urgent surgical procedures require a referral from outpatient healthcare. As a rule, patients requiring urgent care arrive through the emergency department with an emergency referral. Orthopedic surgeries at our hospital include knee and hip replacement, back surgery, knee and shoulder arthroscopies, such as anterior cruciate ligament repair and rotator cuff repair surgeries, as well as surgery on the foot, for example, hallux valgus surgeries. Typical injuries treated at our outpatient clinic include hip and ankle fractures. The treatment of fractures and muscle and tendon injuries does not always require surgery, in which case the treatment may be, for example, treatment with a cast or orthosis or physiotherapy. We treat injuries that require surgical treatment in our surgery unit.
