##  Arrival instructions 

The access to our main entrance is long and steep (9%), and there is no intermediate platform for resting. The pedestrian area has been separated from the traffic lane with a curbstone and it is narrow in some places. There are no steps at the main entrance. The main entrance has a turning door which needs to be manually opened. The sliding door of the entrance vestibule opens automatically.

Our info desk is immediately adjacent to the main entrance. There is an induction loop available at our info desk. The service desk is high and there are no seats in front of it.

Please register for your appointment at the self-registration kiosks at the main entrance.

###   Bicycle parking

There are parking places for about 1,800 bicycles in the Meilahti Hospital campus. Bicycle racks are located in the yards of all of our hospitals. Majority of the racks allow securing the bike from the frame. During the city bike season, [the HSL bike stations](https://www.hsl.fi/en/citybikes) are located in the campus’s immediate vicinity.

 



 



###   Further information

Our facilities have several elevators that are also suitable for wheelchair users in terms of dimensioning. The customer staircase is adjacent to the elevator lobby. The front edges of the steps of the stairs stand out as a dark contrast. The stairs only have a handrail on one side of the stairs.

Adjacent to the emergency unit, there is an accessible toilet with free space on the side for a wheelchair.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome, but otherwise pets are not allowed on the premises.

 



 



 

##  Parking in the hospital area 

There are three accessible parking spaces in the courtyard of Women's Hospital. Drop-off traffic can stop in front of our main entrances, but not park there. More parking space is available in the Meilahti hospital area.

###   Outdoor parking in the Meilahti hospital area

A fee is charged for outdoor parking in the Meilahti hospital area.

Two means of payment are available for outdoor parking:

- Pay at a ticket machine before parking. Please note that most of the ticket machines only accept coins.
- Pay by mobile device. You may use the EasyPark or ParkMan apps. For further information, please contact the service providers.

###   Parking garages in the Meilahti hospital area

Meilahti Hospital patients and visitors can use the underground parking garages P1, P2, P3, P-Tammi and New Children’s Hospital parking garage. A fee is charged for parking in the Meilahti hospital area.

**P1 (Haartmaninkatu 4):** Parking is activated on arrival, either using a mobile app (Easypark or Parkman) or with a card payment at a pay station in the elevator lobby.

There is no tunnel connection from the parking garage to the clinics in the Meilahti area. There are spaces for 250 cars. The parking garage’s maximum height clearance is 2.20 meters.

**P2 (Stenbäckinkatu 9):** Parking is activated on arrival, either using a mobile app (Easypark or Parkman) or with a card payment at a pay station in the elevator lobby.

There is a tunnel connection from the parking garage to the clinics in the Meilahti area. There are spaces for 366 cars. The parking garage’s maximum height clearance is 2.40 meters.

**P3 (Zaidankatu 1):** Parking is activated on arrival, either using a mobile app (Easypark or Parkman) or with a card payment at a pay station in the elevator lobby.

There is pedestrian access from the parking garage via Meilahti Tower Hospital. There are spaces for 450 cars. The parking garage’s maximum height clearance is 2.40 meters.

**P-Tammi (Zaidankatu 2, Oak Hospital):** Parking is activated on arrival, either using a mobile app (Easypark or Parkman ) or with a card payment at a pay station in the elevator lobby.

The P-Tammi parking garage has an entrance and pick-up area for everyone traveling by car and a waiting area for people waiting for their ride. There is barrier-free access from the parking garage to the Oak Hospital.

P-Tammi is open to customers from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. When arriving at the emergency department between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., only the city’s outdoor parking spaces along Zaidankatu are available. You cannot drive in front of the entrance to the Oak Hospital.

There are spaces for 98 cars. The parking garage’s maximum height clearance is 2.70 meters.

**New Children’s Hospital parking garage (Stenbäckinkatu 9):** Pay for parking at the pay station in the parking garage when you exit. Parking is free only to families of patients treated in New Children’s Hospital. More information is available at the wards and the info desk in the main lobby.

There is a barrier-free access from the parking garage to the New Children’s Hospital. There are spaces for 91 cars. The parking garage’s maximum height clearance is 2.80 meters.

The parking garage has a few EV charging points, where it is also possible to park other cars if there is a lack of space.

 



 



###   Accessible parking

Disabled parking spaces are located outside in the Meilahti Hospital area near the main hospital entrances and in the P1, P2 and P3 parking garages near the pedestrian walkways. These parking spaces are free of charge. The disabled person’s disabled parking card must be fully visible on the dashboard through the windscreen. Disabled parking card holders can also park in spaces that are subject to parking charges.

The entire Meilahti Hospital area has a total of 55 disabled parking spaces.
