Ward N5, Psychiatry Center

Ward N5 is a psychiatric examination and treatment ward for adolescents aged 15–17. Patients are admitted on a referral from the Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic or as a transfer from the adolescent psychiatry acute wards. A pair of primary nurses will be assigned to you on the ward.

The reason for your arrival for examination and treatment may be your psychiatric and neuropsychiatric symptoms and the associated decline in functional capacity. At the beginning of your treatment, we will devise an individual treatment plan for you. In addition to surveying your symptoms and functional capacity, your examination includes assessing your family situation. Based on the results from your examination period, we will make an assessment and treatment recommendation for you in cooperation with you and your guardians and our Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. Depending on your individual needs, your ward treatment period can last from a few days to weeks, and short periods of crisis and interval treatment are also possible.

The aim of our treatment is to support your development and independence and the reintegration of your personality. The principle of our treatment is to encourage you to show independent initiative and responsibility suitable for your age level.

On weekends, the ward works in cooperation with Ward N4.
