On the Neurology Ward M6 at Meilahti Tower Hospital, we mainly treat patients with cerebrovascular disorders.

Our ward is an acute neurology inpatient ward, and nearly all of our patients are admitted as emergencies; a small part are patients on a waiting list or transfers within the hospital.

In addition to cerebrovascular disorders, we treat patients with epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, MS, muscle diseases, inflammations of the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system diseases, dementing diseases and memory disorders, headache, dizziness, or tumor.

Treatment on our ward is rehabilitative acute care. We work together as a multi-professional treatment team: in addition to physicians and nursing staff, our team includes two physiotherapists, a speech therapist, a neuropsychologist, an occupational therapist, and a social worker.
