In the Peijas Hospital X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without an appointment and other imaging examinations with an appointment. - We perform examinations for customers from HUS area health centers and hospitals. - Please note that emergency patients requiring urgent care will be served first, so other patients may need to wait. ## We perform these examinations without an appointment --- - Bone X-ray - Chest X-ray ## We perform these examinations with an appointment --- - Computed tomography - Lower limb mechanical axis measurement - MRI - Scoliosis X-ray - Ultrasound examinations See appointment booking instructions below. ## Arrival instructions --- - Our X-ray unit is located at the Peijas Hospital. - Come in through the hospital’s main entrance and take the elevator to the 1st floor. [More information about patient lifts](/en/patient/treatments-and-examinations/laboratories-and-imaging/patient-lifts "Patient lifts") ## Appointment booking instructions ### Ultrasound, scoliosis and mechanical axis, when you have a referral from a health center --- - You can make an appointment by calling (tel. 09 4718 0900) Mon–Fri 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. ### When you have a referral from specialized healthcare (a HUS hospital) --- - You will be given an appointment for the examination and you will be informed of the appointment by letter. - Examinations such as: ultrasound, X-ray, mechanical axis, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. ## MRI safety questionnaire If you are coming for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), please remember to fill in the safety questionnaire. Bring the form with you to the scan. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.
