In the Hyvinkää Hospital X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without an appointment and other imaging examinations with an appointment. - We perform examinations for customers of the HUS area health centers and hospitals. - Please note that emergency patients requiring urgent care will be served first, so other patients may need to wait. ## We perform these examinations without an appointment --- - Bone X-ray - Chest X-ray - Lower limb mechanical axis measurement - Scoliosis X-ray - X-ray of long bones ## We perform these examinations with an appointment --- - CT examination - Fluoroscopy - Mammography - MRI examinaton - Ultrasound examination See the instructions below for details. ## Arrival instructions --- - Our X-ray unit is located at the Hyvinkää Hospital in building A (floor P). [More information about patient lifts](/en/patient/treatments-and-examinations/laboratories-and-imaging/patient-lifts "Patient lifts") ## Appointment booking instructions ### Ultrasound and mammography, when you have a referral from the health center --- - You can book an appointment for ultrasound examinations via Maisa or by calling the centralized appointment booking. - Exceptions are urgent lower limb imaging, suspected blockages, and emergency referral examinations. For these, the appointment is booked directly from the X-ray unit. ### When you have a referral from specialized health care, from a HUS hospital --- - You will be given an appointment for the examination and you will be informed of the appointment by letter. - The examination can be, for example, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT or MRI. ## MRI safety questionnaire If you are coming for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), please remember to fill in the safety questionnaire. Bring the form with you to the scan. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.
